 Summer is here and Fourth of July celebration plans are being made. We give you a list of several fun opportunities for you and your friends and family to enjoying the festivities of American freedom on the 4Th of July in San Diego.

Celebrate Independence Day with a patriotic weekend at the bayside Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina hotel!  Offering front row seats from Harbor Island of San Diego’s ‘Big Bay Boom’ fireworks spectacular from over 1000 of their rooms and grounds, the Sheraton will offer a fun BBQ on the hotel’s Bay View Lawn.  Open to the public, the BBQ picnic will feature a Stone Brewery pop-up beer garden experience, a drum band, cash food and beverage concessions featuring burgers, hot dogs, salads and more as well as an astro jump and special kids area, and a special visit from the local fire department for kids to take photos in the fire truck and with the firefighters.

 Situated in the heart of downtown San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter, The Commons Bar is celebrating 4th of July with a special patriotic cocktail, Frozen Freedom, consisting of citrus and sweet tea vodka, grenadine, curacao and topped off with delicious frozen lemonade. The classic neighborhood bar features an array of kicked up bar fare that pair perfectly with this fun summer cocktail.

 Surf and Sand Resort, Laguna Beach, CA

Surf and Sand Resort and Spa, Laguna Beach’s premier water-front hotel, is the prime 4th of July destination. A sun-washed escape with staggering ocean views, the Surf and Sand’s outdoor area and Splashes restaurant are the ideal spots to watch ‘the best of’ Orange County’s fireworks. The hotel will be hosting an upscale, all-american 4th of July BBQ on the pool deck, with pristine views of the fireworks.  Beaumont’s Eatery is celebrating Fourth of July with four days straight of delicious brunch. Beginning on Thursday, July 4, Beaumont’s will open early for a bustling brunch with live music on the recently updated outdoor patio, where guests can begin the long weekend with good company, great grub and boozy breakfast favorites like the “Don’t You Judge Me,” Diablo Michi Lada and the Bacon LOVE and Tomato Mary. After enjoying a leisurely brunch at Beaumont’s on Independence Day morning, guests can head to Brockton Villa for the annual fireworks soiree before recovering at Beaumont’s the next morning.
