Harvest for Hope Event

The 10th Annual Harvest for Hope, the Emilio Nares Foundation’s biggest annual fundraiser in San Diego, is approaching! Supporting low-income, underprivileged families whose children are battling cancer, this year’s event will be held at Stingaree in the historic San Diego Gaslamp Quarter on Sunday, September 22, from 3-6pm.
Starting in 2008, Harvest for Hope grew from being held at private residences to local conference and ball rooms to support the ever-growing elite list of participating restauranteurs and chefs. 2010 marked the start of a Harvest for Hope tradition in hosting the 200-person guest list at downtown San Diego’s Stingaree, utilizing all three floors of the popular nightclub. This year’s event will honor Indigo Salon & Spa owner and cancer survivor Randi Hosking, and will feature special performances by Southern California’s trumpet virtuoso Gilbert Castellanos and by the Sensational Strings.
Founders Richard and Diane Nares lost their only child, Emilio Nares, to cancer. Turning tragedy to hope, the Nares family created the Emilio Nares Foundation (ENF). The fundraiser brings together some of San Diego’s finest chefs from 17 participating restaurants to create unique dishes paired with fine wine and spirits.
Please see below for further information on participating chefs & restaurants, and a timeline of the event’s successes.
