Where To Eat Lunch in La Jolla

Already a popular addition to La Jolla’s vibrant shopping and dining district, newly opened Amaya La Jolla will open for lunch starting Monday, June 3. No more wondering where to eat for a fabulous fine dining experience during the day anymore. This casually elegant eatery inspired by the beautiful large palazzos of Italy and handsomely designed by Warren Sheets Design, Inc. is certain to become a favorite midday spot for businesspeople, locals and La Jolla tourists – a spot to enjoy the fine contemporary American fare of Chef Camron Woods.
What: Lunch Served Monday – Friday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Amaya La Jolla Starting Monday, June 3
Here’s a sampling of the tempting offerings on Chef Camron Woods’ inaugural lunch menu: along with assorted appetizers and a seasonal soup of the day will be salads such as Flat Iron Steak Salad with Dolce Gorgonzola Dressing, Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad and Garlic Shrimp and Artichoke Salad. Featured heartier dishes include Roasted Salmon & Cucumber Panzanella; Grilled Vegetable Club on Focaccia, Cedar River Farms Burger with caramelized onions, aged cheddar and potato bun; Southern Shrimp & Grits with tasso ham sauce and collard greens; and Farfalle Pasta and Angus Beef Tips.
For those who want to truly relax and celebrate at lunch, expertly crafted cocktails, local craft beers and choices from 300 wines under $100 on the menus or wines by the glass will fit the bill.
In addition, Amaya’s Bar Menu will be available throughout the day, including the 3 to 5 p.m. hours between lunch and dinner offering light fare favorites like Classic Hummus, Tempura Spicy Tuna Roll, Smoked Chicken Quesadilla, Stone-Baked Pizza Du Jour, Crispy Calamari, Pulled BBQ Pork Sandwich and Half-Pound Angus Burger.
